Senior Associate

Biography

Sheena is an associate at ABMAK with a growing practice focused on energy, infrastructure, project finance and corporate advisory. She is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts thereto.

Sheena holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
Sheena is the lead associate handling corporate related matters and transactions for ABMAK clients. She advises on corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, re-organisations, corporate governance and corporate due diligence.

Sheena is part of the energy and infrastructure team advising on environmental compliance and project finance. Sheena has participated in advising project developers on Ugandan law aspects of financing arrangements including review of financing and security documents and the issuance of legal opinions.

Sheena was part of the team that advised ARPE Ltd on the refinancing of the Achwa HPP1 by DFI Financers. Sheena is also part of the team that advised EACOP Ltd on the financing of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline.
