Leah is an associate at ABMAK, offering legal and advisory services, across diverse sectors including tax, power and electricity, mining and metals, oil and gas, project finance and general corporate advisory.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Second Class, Upper Division from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate Diploma in legal practice (Distinction) from the Law Development Centre.
Leah is part of the energy and infrastructure team advising renewable projects including Achwa HPP1 and2 and Kikagati/Murongo hydropower project and more recently the proposed RUPA Wind power project. Her role includes securing permits and authorisations, negotiation of key project agreements as well as routine legal advice on regulatory compliance.
Leah is also the lead associate handling all litigation matters. She has ably represented the Firm’s clients in matters before High Court, Magistrates courts as well as tribunals.
