Our understanding of the unique risks inherent in the technical, financial and commercial aspects of natural resources projects, the commercial objectives of the project sponsors and the lenders’ concerns in such projects gives us the cutting-age in conducting meaningful due diligence and structuring impeccable security pack age agreements tailored to suit the needs of all the parties involved in the project matrix.
Our infrastructure practice is comprised of lawyers that have exten sive knowledge in corporate and project finance, and a clear under standing of the FIDIC contracts as well as their interplay with the laws of Uganda.
Our services in this area include:
- Advising clients on all aspects of procurement, negotiation and contract documentation for infrastructure projects in Uganda;
- Advising clients on all permits required under Ugandan law to accomplish infrastructure projects and the requirements for retention of such permits;
- Acting as counsel or expert on Ugandan law aspects of any domestic or international arbitration in respect to disputes arising out of clients operations under any licence or project agreement.
