Jemimah is a senior associate at ABMAK, with expertise in tax, energy, infrastructure, power and electricity, project finance and corporate advisory. She is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts thereto.
Jemimah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Makerere University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre – where she was awarded Attorney General’s Prize as the second-best overall student, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax and Revenue Administration from the East African School of Taxation.

Jemimah is the lead associate advising various renewable energy projects including Achwa HPP1&2, Kikagati/Murongo hydropower project and the proposed Rupa wind power project. Her role encompasses advice on legal and regulatory compliance, negotiation of key project agreements, corporate and tax advisory as well as project finance.
In the area of project finance, Jemimah role includes the review of financing agreements, preparation and perfection of security documents and legal support to clients in fulfilling conditions precedent. Notably, Jemimah recently advised ARPE Ltd on the refinancing of the Achwa HPP1. She was also part of the advisory team for the financing of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project.

Aside from energy practice, Jemimah is a seasoned tax practitioner. She leverages her strong tax background to provide comprehensive legal support to project developers, particularly in the structuring of major projects and commercial transactions to maximize available tax reliefs. Jemimah also has significant experience representing clients in tax disputes before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.
