Biography

Leah is an Advocate who holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Second Class, Upper Division from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate Diploma (Distinction) in legal practice from the Law Development Centre.

She is an Associate offering legal and advisory services in the areas of Tax and Revenue, Power and Electricity, Mining and Metals, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, project finance, General Corporate related matters and transactions for ABMAK Clients. She is part of the team that extends company secretarial advice to SENOK Wind Uganda Limited and has assisted the company in securing permits and authorisations required for the RUPA Wind project including the negotiation of the power purchase agreement.

Leah is part of the team advising the Berkeley Energy Fund on the implementation of Achwa HPP1 and2 and Kikagati hydropower projects. She advises the Projects on the day-to-day legal issues that they are faced with including licensing, financing, tax compliance issues, land rights, environmental and regulatory compliance.
