    • March 2016
      ABMAK is the legal counsel to the private sector developer of the US$ 620 million phosphate and iron ore project in Sukulu, Eastern Uganda. The ABMAK team drafted and negotiated the Mineral Development Agreement between the developer and the Government of Uganda, compensation and resettlement of project affected persons, project structuring and provide day to day legal advisory services to the developer.

      ABMAK is a legal advisor to some of the major oil and gas operators currently licensed to conduct oil and gas operations in Uganda, and major multi national service providers. The services provided include regulatory compliance and routine legal advisory services to support client operations.

Hosea is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts thereto.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from Makerere University and a post graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.

Hosea is a transactional lawyer specializing in energy law, corporate finance, land transactions and conveyancing, employment matters and corporate due diligence among others.

Hosea’s niche in the Energy law practice has seen him advise on the structure, development, regulatory compliance and finance of various hydropower projects including the 83 MW hydro power project on river Achwa in Gulu by ARPE Limited, Bugoye Hydro power project as well as the Rupa Wind power project by Senok (U) Limited which is the first wind power project in Uganda.

Hosea also offers transactional advice to HMH Rainbow Limited, one of the largest chicken processers in East Africa trading under
